Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moravicum, Dyje (Thaya) Dome. Series of rocky outcrops showing contact of the Dyje orthogneiss and rocks of the Lukov Unit. Orthogneiss is leucocratic, rich in biotite. Several horizons of erlan rock can be found within this orthogneiss. Basal erlan layer overlies thick body of crystalline limestone. Geologically very instructive outcrop.
