Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Moldanubicum, Tertiary basins. Partly active sand pit occassionally exloited sands and gravels exposing sands and gravels. Tertiary sands with gravel interlayers. They are typical with their subrounded clasts of quartzites and turmalinites. They represent stratigraphical analogy of Tertiary moldavite-bearing sequence of the South Bohemian basins.
