Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Moldanubicum. Old quarry exposing massif of muscovite-biotite paragneiss with intercalations of crystalline limestone, dolomite, amphibolite and metaquartzite. Crystalline carbonate is both in form of pure whitish nests and fine grained dolomitic limestone. Amphibolite forms folded interlayers within carbonates. Next to the quarry lime kiln from the middle of the 19th century is preserved.
