Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
A large outcrop on the right bank of the Ždírnický potok Stream, ca. 10 km NE of Teplice. Medium-grained muscovite-biotite orthogneiss shows a relict granitic texture, and contains porphyroblasts of K-feldspar 1-2 cm large. Plagioclase is less abundant, biotite and muscovite are also present. Foliation planes dip steeply SW, joints are of several systems. A Quaternary fluvial gravel accumulation.
