Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
An abandoned quarry at Meziboří, on the left bank of the Divoký potok Stream, Litvínov area. The quarry was opened in a body of sodalite phonolite of Tertiary age (Oligocene to Miocene), several tens of metres across. The rock shows columnar to platy jointing. Contact with the host crystalline rocks is also exposed.
