Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The highest peak of the České Středohoří Mts (837 m a.s.l.). A trachyte laccolith is situated upon tectonic horst. After lifting up of this horst, the intrusion was exposed from the superficial volcanic deposits by selective erosion. On its foot crystalline rocks appear. A permanent-operated meteorological station at the summit operating since 1905.
