Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Small quarry on the hill summit exposing a relic of volcanic complex of the České Středohoří Mts. It lies on the Upper Cretaceous marine sediments, mainly diatomites which are highly fossiliferous. Fossil flora finds indicate an age of the Upper Eocene up to the Lower Oligocene. Paleontologically and geologically significant locality.
