Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Giant mountain valley of glacial origin. Its slopes expose medium-grained porphyitic granite and Proterozoic Krkonoše Crystalline complex (part of the Velká Úpa Group). Also traces of intensive mining activity. Mineralized skarns were exploited.
