Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Old gravel pit with outcrops of seveal metres thick layer of petromictic gravels with rock blocks larger than l m across. They lie on grey clays of the Submenilitic Formation of the Ždánice Unit. This gravel has been described as Heršpice Gravel according to this type locality. Stratigraphically significant site.
