Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Active quarry exposing Tertiary fluvial sediments on kaolinized arkoses and subarkoses of the Carboniferous Kladno Formation. The boundary Carboniferous/Tertiary is well developed and exhibits incised stream valley filled with coarse-grained sediments with boulders of silicites (lydites).
