Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Old mining works. Gold mineralization is bound to a system of quartz and quartz-sulphidic veins in host rocks consisting of sillimanitic-biotitic and cordieritic-biotitic migmatitized paragneisses. Also horizons of mineralized erlanes and metaquartzites. Gold occurs in paragenesis with pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite, lollingite, scheelite and some other minerals. This locality belongs to the ˇBohemian Moldanubian Zone. Educational is at visitor disposal.
