Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Sequence of nine lava flows is exposed on the slopes of Úhošť table rock. These display variations in chemical composition reflecting an exhausting of a complex magma reservoir. Variety of basaltic rocks (nephelinite, tephrite, picrobasalt, basalt) can be seen on the outcrops.
