Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Old geological locality of historic interest, described in detail already in 1921. Abandoned sandstone shelf quarries exposing Cenomanian quadersandstones wich glauconite and marine fauna. They are covered by Turonian sandstones. Also underlying fresh water and brackish Cenomanian claystones are partly exposed.
