Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
A large abandoned quarry exposing the Lusatian development of the Cretaceous sediments. Outcrops of silicified, stratified, fine- to medium-grained quartzose sandstones of the Bílá hora Formation. Common cross bedding and paleontological finds (Inoceramus shells). A sedimentologically and paleontologically interesting locality.
