Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry exposing Cretaceous sandstones (Korycany Beds, Cenomanian) of the Zvíčina anticline. This sequence is subdivided into two parts, lower one consisting of quartzose sandstones (Quadersandstones), upper one of glauconitic fossiliferous sandstones. Sedimentologically and stratigraphically important locality.
