Geology
Short characteristics of the site: West Carpathians, Subsilesian and Silesian units, Godula development. Deeply cut channel with waterfalls and numerous outcrops. Ostravice sandstones are underlain by blackish claystones of Cretaceous age. Interesting mesorelief features, such as potholes developed in blocks of sandstones. Important geomorphological locality protected as a Nature Monument in the Protected Landscape Area Beskydy. Covered by a rare forest vegetation.
