Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moravicum, Proterozoic. Outcrops on a ridge and a slope of deep valley. Bedrocks consist of porphyroblastic muscovite- and sericite-muscovcite orthogneisses of the Bíteš type with bodies of crystalline limestones and also of graphitic slates. Highest ridge point is of a monadnock character, detached from its surounding by steep cliffs. Terrace steps and frost cliffs are of cryogenic origin. Also stone fields are abundant. This Nature Monument protects not only relief features but also rocky and scree vegetation and a nest side of eagle owl.
