Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Svratka Crystalline. Relics of open pit mining of iron ore. Skarn rock was mined there already in the 17th century. In the 20th century, uranium prospection was carried out there. Relics of two larger shafts and minor pits can be found. Also vegetated dumps are preserved. Several skarn types were described, garnet-pyroxene ones being the most abundant. Some skarns extremely rich in garnet can be called garnetites.
