Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned open pit. Cretaceous sediments (so called Rudice Beds) lie on an undulating relief with deep depressions. This relief is supposed to represent an older period of a karstification within the Bohemian Massif. This locality is interesting from stratigraphical, paleontological and mineralogical views. It belongs to the Protected Landscape Area Moravský kras - the Moravian Karst.
