Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Cliffs lining Šišák Hill between Stříbrná and Přebuz, Sokolov area. Cliffs on the NE slopes are composed of coarse-grained porphyritic granite with "tourmaline suns" of the Younger Intrusive Complex of the Karlovy Vary pluton. Cliffs in the SW are composed of contact-metamorphosed phyllites and quartzitic phyllites of the Frauenbach Series (Ordovician).
