Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Central Bohemian Permocarboniferous, Upper Carboniferous sandstones in a form of castellated rocks, resembling Cretaceous "Rock Cities". Many macro- and mesorelief sandstone phenomena are present. Sandstones are medium- and coarse-grained. Their sequence shows at least two depositional cycles.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Central and Western Bohemian Late Palaeozoicum
