Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned open pit exposing a whetstone (tuffitic silicite) of the Central Bohemian Cabonifeous. The Lower Radnice Seam is overlain by a sandy tuff which passes into ash tuffs. Rich finds of flora corresponding to the Radnice Beds, Kladno Formation (Westphalian C).
