Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Rocky slopes with outcops of slightly metamorphosed sediments of the Barrandian Upper Proterozoic. Fine-grained greywackes and shales belong to the Kralupy-Zbraslav Group. They are penetrated by dykes of altered Paleozoic basalts.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien
