Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Series of outcrops in an abandoned and active sand pit. Cretaceous and Tertiary sediments with coal seams and caustically metamorphosed clays up to porcelanite. This heat metamophosis was triggered by a spontanceous ignition of one of the coal seams. Petrologically significant locality.
