Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Railway cut with outcrops of red sandstones and conglomerates of the upper part of Semily Formation (Carboniferous, Stephanian C) in Čikvásky Anticline. A lenticular layer of grey siltstone and mudstone, containing fossil flora is in the middle of the outcrop. Ore mineralisation is connected with grey mudstone layer and sandstone nearby. Following minerals were found: ankerite, azurite, bornite, chalkosine, pyrite, chalkopyrite, cuprite and pure copper.
