Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Talus on forested slope. Quartzite blocks yielded accumulated macrofauna remains, namely brachiopods and tentaculites. This association is unique not only in the Hrubý Jeseník Mts. It also offers an example of fossil preservation in regionally metamorphosed sediments.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moravosilesian region - Silezicum
