Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Prominent rocky ridge. Nice example of a succession of lava flows of the Doupov volcano. Each lava flow forms morphologically distinct step. Pyroclastics are limited only to agglomerates which preceded final lava extrusion. Volcanologically extremely interesting site.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
Stratigraphy: kenozoikum - terciér (paleogén - neogén)
