Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Outcrops on the Svratka River bank exposing a marginal facies of the Bíteš gneiss in the Svratka Dome. Gneiss layers alternate with amphibolite beds. Petrologically important locality. This locality is registered as Natural Reserve.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moravosilesian region - Moravicum
Stratigraphy: proterozoikum
