Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Old mining works, dumps and quarry. Pegmatite dyke is exposed in the Strážec Moldanubicum. Surrounding rocks are composed of metapelites and metavolcanites of a Proterozoic age. Regional metamorphosis corresponds to a kyanite-staurolite stage. Petrologically interesting. From the pegmatite 26 minerals have been described, some of them rare. Lithium content in minerals and lithium mineralization can attract our attention. This locality is recommended for protection.
