Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Giant active quarry exploiting the Devonian arkoses, subarkoses and conglomerates. These sediments occur in a tectonically subsided block. They correspond to the Devonian Old-Red development. Total thickness of these Devonian sediments is 250 metres. Tectonically, stratigraphically and sedimentologically significant locality.
