Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Old abandoned quarry with outcrops of whitish subarkose with quartz pebbles. Sandstone thickness is 500 cm. These subarkoses were formerly exploited. They were earlier taken for Devonian sediments, now considered denudational relics of the Tertiary silcrete. Sedimentologically significant locality.
