Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Blind karst valley with a significant swallow hole (ponor). Jedovnice stream falls down into 80 m deep karst cave. Surrounding rocks are formed of massive, locally brecciated light grey Vilémovice Limestone (Macocha Formation, Frasnian). Cave entrance with significant archeological remains. One of the most important karst localities in the Moravian Karst. Traces of scoria (old ironworks)
