Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Gorge with numerous outcrops. Basal Clastic Formation is exposed overlain by Josefov Limestone with brachiopod coquinas. Tectonically very instructive, with folds and faults. Stratigraphically and paleontologically important locality. The locality belongs to the Protected Landscape Area Moravský kras - the Moravian Karst.
