Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Rocky ridge passing into small rock city (castellated sandstones). This locality is formed of sandstones and conglomerates of the Upper Soláň Member of the Magura flysch (Paleogene). Selective weathering during periglacial and humid climate caused intensive separation of a rock massive into mesorelief and microrelief forms.
