Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Natural outcrop of a Nivnice Formation which belongs to the upper part of the Bílé Karpaty Unit of the Magura flysch. In this unit calcareous claystones and marlstones prevail. There are some sandstone beds with turbidite structures. Sedimentologically and stratigraphically important locality.
