Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry with outcrops of sandstones of the Soláň Formtion of the Rača Unit of the Magura flysch. Sediments belong stratigraphically to the Campanian up to the Maastrichtian. In the central part of the quarry olistolith of dark Jurassic limestones rich in microfauna was found.
