Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry with outcrops of coase-grained sediments which form irregular bodies in a pelitic Submenilitic Formation. Coarse clastics contain microfauna. They belong straigraphically to the Middle up to Upper Eocene (?). Sedimentologically, paleontologically and stratigaphically interesting locality.
