Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry exposed limestone breccias of the Štramberk and Kopřivnice limestones and accompanying claystones of Early to Late Cretaceous age. These sediments are a part of an olistostrome within the Cretaceous of the Silesian Unit, Outer Flysch Carpathians.
