Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry with outcrops of the Baška Formation (Upper Cretaceous) and Pálkovice Formation (Campanian-Paleocene) of the Baška Development of the Silesian Unit. Typical alodapic limestones are replaced upwards by fluxoturbidites (conglomerates and breccias).
