Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Natural outcrop of a calcareous tufa mound. Fresh-water sediments of the Eggenburg age. Calcareous tufa contains abundant fossil remains which were investigated already by Reuss (1860) and recently by Fejfar(1993). Sedimentologically and paleontologically significant locality.
