Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Small artificial outcrops esposing transitions between granite porphyry and rhyolite. They belong to the late Variscan hypabyssal magmatites. They are supposed to crystallize about 1-2 km below the surface. Petologically important locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moldanubicum - Magmatites in Moldanubicum
