Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Valley of a streamlet with exposed section of metamorposed sediments of Central Bohemian Metamorphic Islets. Upper Ordovician was proved paleontologically. It is tectonically separated from quartzites and conglopmerates. Also Permocarboniferous sediments of the Blanice Graben are present. One of instructive sections.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Island zone of Cntral Bohemian Pluton (roof pendants), Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Late Palaeozoicum of furrows
