Geology

Short characteristics of the site: A reservoir of the Břehyňský rybník with surrounding marshes and peat bogs. Prominent outcrops of Cretaceous sandstones of the Jizera Formation (Middle Turonian) in the northern part. Geomorphologically interesting are intrusions of volcanic rocks in the sandstones.
