Geology
Short characteristics of the site: In the outcrop, marlstone of the Jizera Formation is exposed. Inside of the marlstone, there is glauconitic bed with erosive base, containing numerous trace fossils. This marker bed divides Jizera Formation to the lower (middle Turonia) and upper (upper Turonian) parts. Numerous fossils of brachiopods (Gyrosoria) are found in the marlstone.
