Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Placerscover an area of about 250 x 100 m and are clearly visible from the county road.Tthere is an old sign that it is an archaeological site. About 150 m higher upstream there is another group of placers on an area of about 80 x 30 m. Upstream of Mladkov creek there are no more signs of panning. The hills are in the floodplain of the meandering creek, which is filled with fluvial gravel and sandy sediments with abundant stones of a size normally up to 10 cm, occasionally larger. Clusters are moderately to poorly worked. Nugget analysis was not performed, it can be assumed predominance of clusters of migmatitized gneisses to migmatites, quartz, biotite granite, occasionally possibly even syenite porphyry. In the bedrock of the Mladíkov brook floodplain is dominated by a migmatitized biotite paragneiss, in places with sillimanite, with a probability of reaching about 100 m of a small-grained biotite granite in the direction NW-SE. from the road. To the south of the road there are also two large veins of the syenite porphyry in the direction V-Z, which are uncovered in the colony of the Chalupy. About 500 m to the north of the site crosses the valley of Mladkov creek, a few hundred meters thick mylonite zone with abundant veins of milk quartz. they form huge, up to several meters long and hundreds of meters long veins on the spine of 500-1000 m sv. from the site.
