Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Trench in a slope formed by sharp drop of a wine vault. Clayey sands of the Eggenburg age crop out in the wall. Some interlayers consist of calcareous silts. They contain some foraminifers and sponge spicules. Sands and silts are covered by Quaternary fluvial gravel. The locality is situated in the Carpathian Foredeep.
