Short characteristics of the site: Prominent basalt hill deformed by giant quarry where first-rate building stone is excavated. The basalt body is surrounded by Upper Cretaceous sediments that were eroded step-by-step. Mining company plans to work-out the wole hill compared with plans of ecologists.
