Geology

Short characteristics of the site: This locality is represented by the Jihlava River source (spring). This spring water is of Ca-SO4 type and with pH of 6.5. The source of this spring comes from a collector bound to migmatite weathered and fissured mantle. This locality belongs to the Šumana Mts. of the Moldanubicum Zone.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moldanubicum - Metamorphic units in Moldanubicum
