Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This locality is in the road cut beneath the elevation called "Kozlí hora - the Goat´s Hill". This outcrop exposes amygnaloids ( diabase basalts) belonging to the Barrandian Ordovician Šárka Formation. The volcanics display a typical pillow lava structure with pillows as much as 180 cm broad. This locality is surrounded by numerous small outcrops of diabases (basalts). This locality is worth visiting because it offers instructive examples of the Ordovician Ordovician.
