Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This locality occurs on a special place , in the Miroslav Castle Garden. The outcrops expose petromictic conglomerates medium up to coarse grained, with angular and subangular clasts and without any preferred orientation. Their groundmass displays arkosic composition. Among clasts limestone prevails being accompanied by phyllites, granitoids, gneisses and quartz. Also the Culm greywackes appear. The conglomerates are supposed to be deposited in alluvial fans. They geologically belong to the Znojmo Palaeozoic and the margins of the Boskovice Graben.
